Meet NCADA’s 2026-2027 Officers and New Board Members

NCADA is pleased to introduce its 2026-2027 officers and newest members of the Board of Directors. The new leadership team was announced during NCADA’s 49th Annual Meeting, held June 11-14, 2026, in Asheville.

Erin McNeil Young begins her term as NCADA president for 2026-2027. Erin is a partner with Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani, LLP, and brings more than 25 years of experience representing clients in commercial disputes, professional liability matters and general liability matters. She is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the University of North Carolina School of Law.

Daniel M. Nunn will serve as president-elect. Daniel is a partner at Caudle & Spears, P.A., where his practice focuses on construction defect and insurance defense litigation. He is a graduate of the University of Miami School of Law.

George Simpson, IV will serve as immediate past president after completing his 2025-2026 term as president. George maintains a broad litigation practice representing clients in matters including insurance coverage disputes, insurance defense, business disputes, regulatory compliance matters and subrogation claims.

Nicole B. Slaughter was elected executive vice president. Nicole is a partner with Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani in Raleigh, where she focuses her practice on commercial law, construction law and product liability. She earned her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Tennessee School of Law.

Jasmine Pitt-Jones was elected secretary. Jasmine is a shareholder with Baker Donelson in Winston-Salem, where she focuses her practice on commercial and business litigation. She received her law degree from Wake Forest University School of Law in 2015.

Scottie Forbes Lee will continue serving as treasurer for a second year. Scottie is a partner with Ellis & Winters LLP in Greensboro, where she focuses her practice on complex litigation, antitrust and appeals.
