2023 Children's Book Drive
In Conjunction with NCADA Fall Seminar
NCADA is hosting its annual Children's Book Drive again as a public service project in conjunction with our Fall Seminar. NCADA is pleased to participate by enhancing our Children's Book Drive.
Please join us as we collect new or gently used children's books--infant through young adult. All books collected benefit the public libraries in the Albemarle Regional North Carolina library system serving the counties of Bertie, Gates, Hertford, and Northampton. This is a great way to give back out our community while also promoting children's literacy and a love of reading!
Whether you have a collection of books your kids have outgrown, or prefer to purchase brand new books, we welcome all contributions! The only books we are unable to re-home are those that are musty or damaged. We are also unable to accept magazines, coloring books, encyclopedias, textbooks, former library books, classroom sets, or books for adults. For those who prefer, financial contributions are also accepted and most appreciated!
To help you get started, the librarians in the Albemarle Regional North Carolina library system have compiled two Book Lists: Beyond the Single Story list and 100 Picture Books for Core Collection. As an added incentive, we will provide special recognitions to the INDIVIDUAL who donates the most titles and to the FIRM that donates the most books.
Please bring your donations with you to the Fall Seminar on Friday, October 6th, in Greensboro at the Grandover Resort. We will collect at the registration area.
For financial donations please make a check payable to Albemarle Regional Library North Carolina and bring it with you on October 6th. Or, place an online order and have it mailed to us at NCADA, 4441-106 Six Forks Road #107, Raleigh, NC 27609. All book and financial donations will be delivered to the main office of the library system following the Fall Seminar. You can also donate below!
