Plan now to attend NCADA’s 38th Annual Meeting & Spring Program the weekend of June 11-14, 2015 at the Westin Resort, Hilton Head Island. This year’s CLE seminar will feature presentations by seasoned trial and appellate lawyers, esteemed federal and state court appellate judges, state bar officers, and commentators on topics of interest to every civil defense lawyer who represents clients in the “new normal.” Seminar highlights will include observations by the NC State Bar’s leadership on key ethics opinions and significant practice-related litigation; guidance from a stellar panel of corporate in-house lawyers on how outside counsel can satisfy expectations and enhance the business relationship; and mock oral arguments of a recent U.S. Supreme Court decision by seasoned appellate specialists before three of NC’s highest ranking federal and state court appellate judges. In addition, Dixie Wells will deliver the annual, comprehensive update on recent and key opinions issued by our courts. And the NCADA practice groups will offer informative breakout sessions on topics ranging from construction to products liability to workers’ compensation.
A myriad of events will be available for socializing, networking, and professional development with the lawyers and judges in attendance, including golf and tennis outings, dine-around events in local restaurants for early arrivals on Thursday and Friday evenings, multiple receptions, a Saturday night dinner, and a Sunday morning breakfast to wrap up the weekend.
