Here are a few templates to help you spread the word about the value you derive from NCADA's inclusive and supportive community of practitioners, and our programs and resources.

1. SHARE YOUR MEMBERSHIP STORY

Here are a few questions to help you identify your experience as an NCADA member:

  • Why did you choose to join NCADA?
  • What do you see as the most valuable aspect of your NCADA membership?
  • How can NCADA help your colleague(s)?
  • How has NCADA membership enhanced your career?
  • Why would you recommend NCADA to your colleague(s)?

2. SAMPLE REFERRAL EMAIL

Use the template email below here. Be sure to personalize and customize as needed with answers from #1 to share with your network and colleagues to inspire them to become a member. 

Dear [Insert Name]

I'm a member of the NC Association of Defense Attorneys (NCADA); they’re currently running a recruitment drive for new members, and I thought you might be interested.

Having NCADA as my professional home has truly made a difference for me and supported my continued professional development.  I have experienced [Name a specific example of how NCADA membership has enhanced your career and/or why you chose to join NCADA]. Knowing your professional background and interests, I believe NCADA membership would offer [Give example on how NCADA can specifically help your colleague.]

You can learn more about NCADA membership at https://www.ncada.org/Join-Us and you can download a one-page flyer of member benefits for reference.  And I’m happy to tell you about my member experience as well so you have an idea of what it’s like. Please don’t hesitate to reach out.

The best way to join is online at the link above and when you sign up, make sure to include my name as primary nominator.  I can assist in identifying the secondary nominator if needed too.
