Members to Vote on Proposed Bylaws Revisions November 6

23 Oct 2026 1:57 PM | Lynette Pitt (Administrator)

NCADA will hold a short membership meeting during the Fall Seminar on November 6, 2026, to consider and vote on proposed revisions to the membership provisions of the Association’s Bylaws.

The proposed revisions address three areas:

  • Membership applications: Replace the requirement for nominations by two current members with a direct application and eligibility review process, while retaining Board oversight and final authority on eligibility.

  • Senior Membership eligibility: Allow individuals age 67 and older to qualify with either 15 years of NCADA membership or 30 years in law or paralegal practice.

  • Dues grace period: Shorten the grace period for unpaid dues from six months to 90 days, after which member communications and complimentary event access would be suspended. Membership could be restored by paying dues within the dues year.

Members are encouraged to review the full proposed revisions before the meeting and attend to participate in the discussion and vote.
