Todd Brown Installed as President of NC State Bar

Congratulations to Todd Brown on being sworn in as the newly installed president of the North Carolina State Bar! Chief Justice Paul Newby administered the oath during the State Bar's Annual Dinner on October 26, 2023.

Brown brings a wealth of experience and dedication to this new role. He holds a bachelor's degree and a JD from the University of South Carolina. Since 2013, he has been an active member of the North Carolina State Bar Council, serving as the chair of the Administrative Committee and as vice-chair and chair of the Grievance Committee.

In addition to his work with the NC State Bar, Brown previously served as the president of the North Carolina Association of Defense Attorneys (2016-2017) and the Mecklenburg County Bar. He was also involved in the Committee on Diversity for the Mecklenburg County Bar.

As a partner at Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP, Brown is the managing partner of the Charlotte office and co-head of the firm's commercial litigation practice group. He also holds several leadership positions within the firm, including co-chair of the Diversity and Inclusion Committee and the Talent Development Committee, member of the Associates Committee and Screening Committee, and former member of the Executive Committee.

We congratulate Todd Brown on this well-deserved recognition and wish him success in his role as president of the North Carolina State Bar.
